Chase  Stadium was built on the site of the former Lockhart Stadium. In 2016, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced they were moving out of Lockhart Stadium. After this, the stadium fell into a state of disrepair. In January 2019, Major League Soccer expansion team Inter Miami CF announced its intentions to pursue the Lockhart Stadium site to serve as the club’s training ground for its first team, youth academy, and future USL League One (USL1) team Fort Lauderdale CF. Construction of Chase Stadium began on May 8th, 2019, and opened on July 18th, 2020.

The nearest airport to Chase Stadium is Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), about 13 miles away. Miami International Airport (MIA) is also about 35 miles away. Several airlines offer direct flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), including Delta, Southwest Airlines, US Airways, American Airlines, AirTran, and United.

Suppose you are in the US and looking to travel to/from the stadium. In that case, you can choose most US domestic airlines, including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airways and WestJet.

You can get to Chase Stadium by bus or train. Bus lines 14 and 55 stop at the nearest bus stop to the stadium, Commercial B/Nw 15 A, which is about a 10-minute walk away. The Brightline train offers free shuttles to and from Chase Stadium on matchdays. The closest Tri-Rail station to the stadium is Cypress Creek, which is also only a short walk away.

Rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft have a designated drop-off/pick-up point on the corner of NW 12th and 52nd streets, directly across the street from Gate 1.

Beyond the Airbnb and Sonder options, there are many nearby hotels to suit all budgets, which can be booked directly or via one of the hotel reservation booking sites.

Fort Lauderdale is home to Chase Stadium. Visitors to beachside Fort Lauderdale love the natural attractions this area offers, such as the beaches. If you’re looking for things to see and do in the area, you might like to visit Fort Lauderdale Beach and Las Olas Boulevard. There are many hotels near the stadium. Some popular options include the Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel and the Best Western Ft. Lauderdale I-95 Inn.
