Amerant Bank Arena was initially known as the National Car Rental Center, Office Depot Center, BankAtlantic Center, BB&T Center and the FLA Live Arena before becoming the Amerant Bank Arena in September 2023.

Amerant Bank Arena hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, sports events, and family shows. It has several dining options, including restaurants and concession stands. There are also several bars and lounges where you can enjoy a drink before or during an event.

The arena is next to Sawgrass Mills, the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in the United States.

The nearest airport to Amerant Bank Arena is Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), which is located about 15 minutes away by car. Miami International Airport is also nearby, about 30 minutes away by car. Several airlines offer direct flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) including Delta, Southwest Airlines, US Airways, American Airlines, airTran, and United.

If you are already in the US and looking to travel to/from the stadium, then you have the choice of most US domestic airlines including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airways and WestJet.

Public transportation options to Amerant Bank Arena are limited. The 595 Express Bus provides service from the FLA Live Arena Park & ride in Sunrise and the Westgate Square park & ride. However, this line is meant for workday commuters and operates only in the daytime. It may be more convenient to use a local rideshare services like Uber or Lyft to get to the Amerant Bank Arena. The official rideshare pick-up and drop-off area is at Gate 7.

You could also make use of apps such as Moovit to get directions to the arena using public transportation.

Beyond the Airbnb and Sonder options there are many hotels nearby to suit all budgets, which can be booked directly or via one of the hotel reservation booking sites.

Sunrise, where Amerant Bank Arena is located, is a city located in Broward County, Florida. The city also has several parks and recreational areas, including Markham Park and the Sunrise Tennis Club.

Fort Lauderdale is a popular tourist destination located west of Sunrise. The city is known for its beaches, arts, culture, and events. Fort Lauderdale also has a landscaped beachfront promenade with a signature white wave wall and paved brick path.
