Madison Square Garden, also known as The Garden or MSG, is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Midtown Manhattan. It first opened in its current location on February 11th, 1968, and has a varying capacity depending on the event, for hockey games, the capacity is 18,006. The arena is home to the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Madison Square Garden is the fourth venue to bear the name, the first two (1879 and 1890) were located on Madison Square, on East 26th Street and Madison Avenue, with the third Madison Square Garden (1925) farther uptown at Eighth Avenue and 50th Street.

The arena is used for professional ice hockey and basketball, as well as boxing, mixed martial arts, concerts, ice shows, circuses, professional wrestling and other forms of sports and entertainment. The capacity varies depending on the event. For basketball games, the capacity is 19,812. For ice hockey games, the capacity is 18,006. For concerts, the capacity can be up to 20,000.

Self-named The Worlds Most Famous Arena, they do have a very informative venue website. They also have a Venue Specific App.

MSG does have a deal with Chase Bank, and if you own a Chase Bank Card, there are some benefits you can take advantage of, which can be accessed via the MSG website or app. They include free access to the Chase Lounge, which must be pre-booked. They have preferred seating, food and drink offers, and Team store Merchandise offers.

While Chase Bank is American, they have an online-only product in the UK, which I use in the US as it’s ideal for international transactions.
