Starting in the 2022-23 season, the Arizona Coyotes will be playing home games at Mullett Arena, a multi-purpose arena at Arizona State University. The team previously played at America West Arena from 1996 to 2003 before moving to Glendale Arena – which later became Gila River Arena and is now Desert Diamond Arena – during the 2003-04 NHL season.

The Mullett Arena opened on October 12th, 2022, and was named in honour of philanthropists and Arizona State University donors Donald “Donze” and Barbara Mullett. It includes two NHL regulation-size ice sheets, 20 luxury suites, a large club lounge and event-level premium club seats.

The nearest airport to the Mullet Arena is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) which is located less than 10 miles west of downtown Tempe and provides flights to destinations all around the world. British Airways operates non-stop flights between London and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) with a flight time of approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes.

If you are already in the US and looking to travel to/from Phoenix, then you have the choice of most US domestic airlines including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airways and WestJet.

Mullett Arena is located just to the west of Rural Road, amid the Sun Devils’ other athletic facilities — including the football venue, Sun Devil Stadium. The Phoenix region does offer a public transportation alternative: The Valley Metro light rail system, which has a line connecting downtown, the airport and Tempe. The closest stop to Mullett Arena is Marina Heights/Rio Salado, less than a half-mile away and just north of Sun Devil Stadium.

You could also make use of apps such as Moovit to get directions to the arena using public transportation.

Beyond the Airbnb and Sonder options there are many hotels nearby to suit all budgets, which can be booked directly or via one of the hotel reservation booking sites.

The city of Tempe, where Mullett Arena is located is less than 10 miles east of downtown Phoenix. Although Tempe is home to the Arizona State University, the city is a typical suburban community, and retail centres can be found throughout the area. Two can be found at the intersection of Rural Road and University Drive, about half a mile south of Mullett Arena, and several sports bars — including a Buffalo Wild Wings — can be found here.
