FedExField is located in Landover, Maryland, about 20 kilometres from downtown Washington D.C. It has been the home of the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL) since the stadiums opening in 1997. As of 2022, the seating capacity of FedExField is 67,617 for football games.

FedExField was built as a replacement for Washington’s prior venue, Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, D.C. The stadium opened in 1997 as Jack Kent Cooke Stadium, in honour of the recently deceased owner of the team. The stadium’s naming rights were sold to FedEx in November 1999 for an average of $7.6 million per year .

The stadium also hosts several other events throughout the year with a concert capacity of up to 82,000. Ed Sheeran and Beyonce have both added the venue to their tour schedule, and the Army-Navy football game is also scheduled to take place at FedExField.

Washington Commanders Tickets

The Washington Commanders sell their tickets via SeatGeek.

Ticketmaster is the official ticket outlet for the NFL.

For most teams, Ticketmaster sells tickets on behalf of the team and resells tickets on behalf of ticket sellers. You can tell the difference on the site as the Blue dots are tickets from the team themselves, and the pink dots are from verified sellers.

Here are links to the main ticket resale sites. Click on the link, which will open up a new window, and you can compare the prices on the different ticket resell sites, bearing in mind that the prices shown may have further selling platform fees added, so take time to read my tips to Buying Tickets in North America.

I recommend downloading the team’s Mobile App to your phone as it contains much Gameday information for the stadium.
