T-Mobile Arena was opened on April 6th, 2016. It is a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and is situated on the Las Vegas Strip behind the New York-New York Hotel & Casino. It serves as the home arena of the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL) and has a seating capacity of 17,500 for hockey games.

During construction, T-Mobile Arena was pointed to as the home arena for a National Hockey League (NHL) expansion team. The expansion bid was approved by the NHL on June 22nd, 2016, and the Vegas Golden Knights, began play at the arena for the 2017–18 season.

In addition to Golden Knights games and Ultimate Fighting Championship events, several major sporting events have been held at T-Mobile Arena, including boxing matches such as Canelo Álvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin and Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor. The arena has a variety of seating options depending on the event, with a maximum capacity of 20,000.

How to Get to Las Vegas

The nearest airport to the T-Mobile Arena is Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) which is around 4 miles away. There are plenty of direct flight options available when travelling from the UK, all with a flight time of around 10-11 hours.

If you are already in the US and looking to travel to/from Las Vegas, then you have the choice of most US domestic airlines including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airways and WestJet.

Public Transport

The Las Vegas Monorail provides quick and reliable transportation on the Las Vegas Strip. There is a stop at Park MGM station. From there, you can exit through the casino and cross Park Avenue to T-Mobile Arena. You could also make use of apps such as Moovit to get directions to the arena using public transportation.

Rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft are also available in the vicinity. There is a designated rideshare drop-off zone located at the Excalibur northwest lot, which is a quick walk to/from the T-Mobile Arena.

Staying in Las Vegas

Beyond the Airbnb and Sonder options there are an abundance of hotels nearby, which can be booked directly or via one of the hotel reservation booking sites.

T-Mobile Arena is located on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. It is situated behind the New York-New York Hotel & Casino and near the Park MGM Las Vegas and the Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Some popular off-Strip neighbourhoods to stay in Las Vegas are South Strip, Downtown Las Vegas, and Arts District. There are many sights to see, shopping opportunities, nightlife options, performing arts venues, restaurants, hotels, and sports and activities to enjoy.
