Bank of America Stadium opened in the summer of 1996 and is located on 33 acres in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. It was specifically designed for football and serves as the home facility and headquarters of the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL) and Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer (MLS). The seating capacity for NFL games at Bank of America Stadium is 74,867.

Bank of America Stadium was initially named Ericsson Stadium after Swedish telecom company LM Ericsson held the naming rights. In 2004, Charlotte-based financial services company Bank of America purchased the naming rights under a 20-25-year agreement at $140 million and the stadium was renamed Bank of America Stadium.

The stadium has undergone several renovations over the years to improve the fan experience. These renovations include escalator bays that whisk fans to the upper levels, high-definition video boards above each end zone, vibrant ribbon boards encircling the entire bowl at the club and upper levels, and a high-efficiency, high-octave distributed sound system throughout the bowl.

Carolina Panthers Tickets

The Carolina Panthers sell their tickets via Ticketmaster.

Ticketmaster is the official ticket outlet for the NFL.

For most teams, Ticketmaster sells tickets on behalf of the team and resells tickets on behalf of ticket sellers. You can tell the difference on the site as the Blue dots are tickets from the team themselves, and the pink dots are from verified sellers.

Here are links to the main ticket resale sites. Click on the link, which will open up a new window, and you can compare the prices on the different ticket resell sites, bearing in mind that the prices shown may have further selling platform fees added, so take time to read my tips to Buying Tickets in North America.

I recommend downloading the team’s Mobile App to your phone as it contains much Gameday information for the stadium.
