Climate Pledge Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located north of Downtown Seattle in the 74-acre entertainment complex known as Seattle Center. The arena is home to the National Hockey Leagues (NHL) Seattle Kraken and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) Seattle Storm, as well as being music venue. Climate Pledge Arena opened on October 22nd, 2021, and has a maximum capacity of 18,300.

The arena was built with music in mind with thoughtful backstage production design and acoustical panels in the rafters to improve live sound, making the arena a must-play for the biggest performers.

Climate Pledge Arena has a seating capacity of up to 18,100 cheering fans. The capacities for different events vary. For example, the hockey capacity is 17,100, the basketball capacity is 18,300 and the concert capacity is up to 17,200.

How to Get to Seattle

The nearest international airport to the Climate Pledge Arena is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), also known as SeaTac Airport, which is approximately 16 miles away. There are several airlines offering direct flights between London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with a flight time of approximately 9 hours and 45 minutes.

If you are already in the US and looking to travel to/from Seattle, then you have the choice of most US domestic airlines including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airways and WestJet.

Public Transport

The Climate Pledge Arena’s public transit benefit is a program that provides fans with a public transit pass alongside their ticket for every publicly ticketed event at the arena. The transit passes are valid up to 2 hours before doors open and 2 hours after the event concludes. The pass currently applies to 6 forms of transport in the region, including Metro Bus and Water Taxi, Sound Transit Bus and Lightrail, and the Streetcar and Monorail.

You could also make use of apps such as Moovit to get real- directions to the arena. Rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft are also available in the vicinity.

Staying in Seattle

Climate Pledge Arena is located north of Downtown Seattle in the Uptown district, formerly known as Lower Queen Anne district. The neighbourhood is home to busy Seattle Center and has a wealth of things to do, ranging from a bevy of restaurants to top-notch museums and event venues.

Beyond the Airbnb and Sonder options there are many hotels nearby to suit all budgets, which can be booked directly or via one of the hotel reservation booking sites. Two of the closest hotels are Mediterranean Inn Seattle which is 0.2 mile away from the arena, while Staypineapple, The Maxwell Hotel, Seattle Center Seattle is 0.4 mile away.
