PNC Arena was originally named Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena when it opened in 1999. In 2002, the name was changed to RBC Center after the Royal Bank of Canada purchased the naming rights. In 2012, the name was changed again to PNC Arena after PNC Financial Services acquired the naming rights.

PNC Arena has a variety of facilities to accommodate its guests. The arena seats 18,680 for ice hockey and 19,500 for basketball, including 61 suites, 13 luxury boxes and 2,000 club seats. The building has three concourses and a 300-seat restaurant. Additionally, PNC Arena offers a multitude of spaces for hosting events.

The nearest airport to PNC Arena is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) which is around 6.5 miles from PNC Arena. Direct flights are available from London Heathrow (LHR) to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), with a flight time of around 8-9 hours.

If you are already in the US and looking to travel to/from North Carolina, then you have the choice of most US domestic airlines including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airways and WestJet.

There are several public transportation options available around PNC Arena. GoRaleigh’s Route 26 Bus stops across from PNC Arena and services Crabtree Valley Mall, Laurel Hills Park, Olde Raleigh Village Shopping Centre, and Trinity Corporate Park. You could also make use of free apps such as Moovit to get directions to and from the arena using public transportation.

You can also use rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft to get to and from the stadium. PNC Arena has a designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up location outside of the arena’s south entrances.

Beyond the Airbnb and Sonder options there are many hotels nearby to suit all budgets, which can be booked directly or via one of the hotel reservation booking sites.

PNC Arena is in the city of Raleigh, North Carolina. It is situated in the West Raleigh neighbourhood, near the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. There are several hotels near the arena that you can choose from when visiting. Some options include Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh/Cary I-40, which is 2.7 miles from the arena and serves a hot buffet breakfast. Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh Arena is within walking distance to the arena and has an outdoor pool.
