The National Football League (NFL) is comprised of 32 teams, divided between the American Football Conference and the National Football Conference. Each Conference is further divided into 4 divisions of 4 teams.

The NFL regular season starts in September and continues through till January, with each team playing 17 games over an 18 week period therefore having one bye week.

All 32 teams are located in the United States.

14 teams progress to the post season, the winners of each division plus the best 3 from each Conference that didn’t win their division. The Playoffs run into February.

The NFL Playoffs culminate in the Super Bowl with the winner being presented the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
